Financial Planning

Plotting the path to financial independence
For clients seeking expert guidance in financial planning in addition to money management, we offer a full-range of planning services, including:

  • goal setting
  • cash flow analysis
  • insurance review
  • tax planning
  • retirement planning
  • estate planning
  • college funding
  • investment analysis

Once we meet and establish a client’s financial goals, we will develop a financial plan particular to the individual client – a plan that will serve as a roadmap to guide that client to long-term financial health and independence.

The process begins with a discussion of the current financial situation and evolves into a determination of specific financial goals: education, estate planning, adequate insurance coverage at reasonable cost, retirement goals. We gather all the information and then develop a plan designed to meet the individual client’s financial goals.

We present a written financial plan to each client with our analysis and recommendations. We charge clients based on the time spent doing this work.

Many clients do not want an entire financial plan, but prefer that we focus on their investment portfolio. For those clients with a minimum of $500,000, we will manage their money for a fee of 1% of the assets per year. The process is similar to the financial planning process in that we need to know all about the client in order to develop an asset allocation ideally suited to help meet the particular client’s goals.

After we ascertain that the asset allocation is comfortable for our client, we select specific investments in each asset class (stocks, mutual funds, bonds, real estate, etc.) that we think meet the needs of this client. We then present the recommended portfolio to the client. If it meets the client’s approval, we begin the implementation process.
